Ok. So I figured this is a good place to post some funny memories that we all have. I have this one that keeps replaying in my head and I just don’t know why! It’s not particularly special or unique. But it is a memory I have that still makes me laugh.
There was a period a LONG time ago where Mike and I did not really get along. I don't know if we just didn’t like each other, maybe we got on one anothers nerves...who knows. We were not cruel or mean spirited to one another. We just seemed to be annoyed when the other was around. We purposely antagonized each other sometimes. Seeing each other was like, "Ugh not THAT person again..." And because Mike and Joel were best friends, and Shannon and I were best friends, we could not really avoid each other’s presence.
It was on a Sunday, Shannon and Joel lived over on Bryant and I showed up because the guys were over watching football and Shannon was bored out of her mind. We went to the kitchen and Shannon and I started making cocktails and goofing around. Eventually we went to the living room because the Broncos were winning and everyone started getting crazy. Mike was sitting on the floor in front of the sofa with his arms folded. There was absolutely nowhere for me to sit other then next to Mike. So I did. Football is on, then there is a commercial break. The timing was perfect, there was brief moment where it was dead quiet. Mike took this opportunity to lift his butt cheek up and rip a deadly fart right on my hip. I gasped loudly in complete horror, Joel started laughing really hard and Shannon got really, REALLY ANGRY!!! I could not stop laughing for like 2 hours. For some reason after that Mike and I started to get along better. Maybe he did mean it at the time to make me angry, but all it did was make me laugh really hard. So we must have found some sort of common ground with what we found funny. This was reflected a few years later when for Christmas, I gave him a t-shirt from a company called Colon Blow and on the back it said "Poopin’ Is Cool".
